Title: The Presence of Absence
Supervisor: Prof John Gibbons

This was a practice-led research degree, concerned with an investigation of the relationship of memory to space and objects. The project was interdisciplinary in nature, utilising a variety of media from, Installation and Sound to Photography and Film. The research drew extensively on texts from other disciplines including music, literature, neuroscience and phenomenological philosophy.
